Miniature helical spring bonding posts combine the elastic properties of microsprings with the electromechanical connection function of bonding posts. They offer high precision, low heat input adaptability, excellent space adaptability, and reliable micro-interconnect characteristics, making them suitable for high-density electronic packaging and microsystem integration.

These structures play a crucial role in advanced electronics manufacturing, particularly in scenarios requiring a balance between elastic contact and stable soldering.

Compact structure and high space utilization: Miniature helical spring bonding posts are typically manufactured using cold-rolling processes, with wire diameters as small as 0.03–0.5 mm, a diameter-to-wire-diameter ratio controlled between 4–10, and a helix angle of 5°–10°, ensuring stable elastic deformation and electrical conduction within extremely small spaces.

Low heat input welding, avoiding heat damage: Due to the prevalence of sensitive materials such as phosphor bronze, beryllium bronze, or 304 stainless steel, welding requires laser welding or microsecond-level pulse welding technology. The total heat input is below 10 J/mm, and the welding time is controlled within 0.1–2 seconds to prevent material annealing or dimensional distortion.

High conductivity and fatigue resistance: Copper alloys (such as phosphor bronze) have an elastic modulus of approximately 120 GPa and a yield strength of 300–1200 MPa, exhibiting excellent conductivity and fatigue resistance. This makes them suitable for high-frequency signal transmission and long-term dynamic load applications, such as microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and sensor connections.

Adaptable to complex 3D welding paths: Welding locations are often in 3D curved surfaces or deep cavity structures, requiring high tool accessibility. Using a miniature frequency conversion stud welder, welding can be completed in 0.003 seconds, without shielding gas, and without weld marks on the back side, making it suitable for concealed connections inside precision equipment.

It enables adaptive clamping and automated assembly. The spring clamping mechanism utilizes deformation energy storage to achieve automatic clamping force adjustment. The clamping force is stable and fluctuates without fluctuation, making it suitable for mass automated production. It is widely used in electronic assembly, medical devices, and aerospace products.
